Plan and implement a full-day, year-round, developmentally appropriate curriculum including weekly themes and lesson plans, inclusion of theme-related materials, and rotation of toys and equipment on a regular basis. Provide a safe, responsive, stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily activities and routines. Form and maintain a professional relationship with parents and families. Assess all areas of development of children using the Creative Curriculum. Develop and maintain a portfolio for each child. Conduct a 45-Day "Ages and Stages" and two parent-teacher conferences per year with each family.
Responsible for direction of Classroom Aide(s) and Volunteers. Maintain all certifications as required. Ensure compliance with all PA Department of Human Services regulations.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field. An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is required and a minimum of a year of experience in a preschool setting.
