POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the lead OB/GYN provider is responsible for the oversight of clinical practices, regulatory compliance, safety, standards of care, and shall be responsible for the administrative practices relevant to the OB/GYN department organizational-wide. This position advocates for integrated care and works collaboratively with key staff in clinical and administrative areas to promote integrated care best practices. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, maintain and implement formal clinic policies and procedures; guide providers and professional staff to deliver consistent standards of care according policies and assuring clinical practices are above reproach and of the highest quality. Communicate with CEO, COO, CMO and CFO Oversee all OB/GYN providers and clinic staff by doing quality checks on charting and patient satisfaction Provide feedback in the interview process and orient and train new professional staff; Formulate ways to decrease cancellations / no show / rescheduled appointments Strategize ways to increase production and encounter rates Keep up with TACHC requirements Provide hands-on patient care as scheduled each week Evaluate the professional staff to insure performance goals related to production, clinical quality and regulatory compliance are met Participate in board and management meetings as well as annual planning processes to support Special Health Resources objectives and implementation of the strategic plan Serves as a liaison between clinic staff and administration Performs periodic evaluations of all OB/GYN professional providers as required Participates, in conjunction with the management team, in the overall budget planning and monitoring process; reviews the formulation and evaluation of project goals and budgets Participates in education of medical staff to appropriately document health maintenance measures Execute other duties as assigned Adheres to all agency policies KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Demonstrated experience and passion for OB/GYN services Ability to provide leadership and clinical guidance. Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with executive leadership, Board of Directors, and staff Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: MD/DO/ or WHNP from a national accredited institution.
