Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Tech) - The Jewish Hospital
Job Summary:
The Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech applies the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the procurement, triage, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive materials.
- Leads the daily section operations and acts as point of contact for hospital staff, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Manages staff scheduling, maintaining team oversight, and delivering trainings.
- Monitors section's nuclear equipment, coordinating repairs and making recommendations.
- Researches, develops, and implements quality performance standards and imaging techniques.
Education:
- Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (required)
Licensure/Certification:
- Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (required)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (required)
Experience:
- 2 years of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine (required)
