Key Responsibilities: - Network Support: Provide timely responses to network outages, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
- System Administration: Manage approximately 50 CISCO network devices across various security domains.
- Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day network operations, monitor network performance, and address issues to maintain optimal functionality and availability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify network outages, manage event notifications, and resolve client network issues.
- Collaboration: Work on departmental and cross-functional projects focused on enhancing network performance and reliability.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in Network Administration, especially in LAN technologies. Additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Possession of an active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hiring.
- Proficient in TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic assessment, and vulnerability analysis and remediation.
- Experienced in configuring CISCO devices using protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP, dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, access control lists, and various routing protocols.
- Exceptional customer service abilities and capacity to engage with diverse teams, customers, and service providers.
- Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and multilateral routing, including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN.
