Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Act as a lead engineer in the design and improvement of manufacturing systems and refinement of new product designs: Participate/lead in development of engineering cut sheets and electrical schematics, development of standard operating procedures, bill of materials control, inventory management, materials requirement planning, and new product design/product customization. Lead continuous improvement projects on the production floor, lead team initiatives on addressing manufacturing process and production planning challenges, identify new product development initiatives, provide engineering assistance with the development of technical promotional documentation and effective sales tools including manuals, drawings, brochures, etc., provide troubleshooting support to clients to address challenges with installed equipment. Assist production with meeting compliance on established quality and safety protocols and engaging as a key member of the safety committee's leadership to guarantee adherence to OSHA regulations and internal company policies. Does not have hire/fire authority.
1 year of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related occupation.

Position requires skills with the following which may be gained though experience or education in degree granting programs (including projects, papers, internships, practical training experiences or similar):
- SOLIDWORKS CAD system.
- Structural Analysis - Finite Elements Method utilizing SOLIDWORKS Simulation.
- EPICOR ERP system.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM)- Sheet Metal, sheet metal manufacturing processes.
- Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word Macros.
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.
