Ageas UK is looking for a talented Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science Operations team and drive the future of AI technologies within our organisation.
At Ageas, data and analytics are key enablers for performance improvement and growth. As part of our Enterprise Data Services function, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse challenges across the organization, making a real-world impact with your expertise in AI and ML.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a core team of ML Engineers to develop, monitor, and utilise market-leading AI solutions that drive growth and competitive advantage.
- Work closely with our Advanced Analytics Team, Data Engineering, IT Development, and external partners like Databricks and Microsoft.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to productionize AI and ML solutions.
- Ensure the health and performance of production services.
- Build scalable, high-performance systems for ML models.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in MLOps and LLMOps.
Skills and Experience:
- A Master's degree (or equivalent) in a Quantitative Discipline
- 4+ years of experience in ML engineering, software development, or data solutions.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Spark, Python, Scala).
- Experience with Big Data and Cloud Technologies (Preferably Microsoft Azure).
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior developers.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
