Lead Kids Pastor Tasks & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Oversee the setting and tracking of Kids Ministry goals
Track all Kids Ministry numbers & data
Oversee the Kids Ministry Assimilation System, (with the help of Kids Admin.)
Oversee the Kids Ministry New Believer system
Oversee Kids Ministry's developing of leaders and recruiting new volunteers (with the
help of Kids Preschool, Elementary; Small Groups Pastors)
Oversee hiring and firing of Kids Ministry personnel
Oversee Kids Ministry Media with the help of Kids Operations Coordinator
Oversee Kids Small Groups with the help of Kids Small Groups Pastor
Oversee the Kids Ministry budget with the help of Kids Admin.
Track vacation and sick days for the Kids Ministry Staff
Evaluate the performance of &; encourage the growth of the Kids Ministry Staff
Oversee Kids Ministry Staff Meetings
Oversee Kids Ministry Curriculums with the help of Kids Preschool &; Elementary Pastors
Champion the vision of Parkway Fellowship, per the Senior Pastor, with Kids Ministry
Staff, Volunteers, &; Families
Oversee Kids Ministry Team at Westpark location
Indirectly oversee Kids Pastor at other PF locations
Be punctual in all communications
Lead Spiritually
Complete any assignments given by Senior Pastor
Oversee all Kids Ministry Technology with the help of Kids Operations Coordinator
Oversee all Kids Ministry Programming
Oversee all Kids Ministry Facilities
Tasks:
Daily:
Respond to all emails, voicemails, and; text messages within 24 hours
Check in with each Kids Staff Member to discuss tasks, progress, &; completions
Set aside time for the "unknowns" via Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, &; other PF Staff
Weekly:
Lead a spiritual growth segment at the start of each Kids Staff Meeting
Lead Kids Staff Meeting
Submit receipts for weekly expense report to Kids Admin.
Attend Staff prayer time 3x's
Attend Senior Staff Meeting, reporting pertinent Kids Ministry details to Senior Staff
Attend All-Staff Meeting, reporting pertinent Kids Ministry details to the whole staff
Attend Staff lunch on Mondays? Oversee Kids Small Groups on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings as assigned by the
Kids Small Groups Pastor
Delegate Kids Ministry tasks to Kids Ministry Team, as needed
Coordinate all aspects of Kids Ministry with the Kids Pastor at other PF locations
Help straighten and re-pen the worship center with other staff
Respond to Planning Center service requests
Write notes to encourage and appreciate volunteers
Close the loop on all assignments
Complete assigned First-Time Guest text videos
Monthly:
Evaluate Senior Pastor's sermon at Run Through
Check PF Total Church spreadsheet to analyze data
Attend Elder Team meetings when assigned
Sign &; review Timesheets for Kids Admin., Special Needs Team, & Childcare Team as
needed
Check Kids Ministry section of the website and social media accounts for accurate
content
Examine Kids Ministry facilities/spaces for needed repairs/upgrades
Check in with the Special Needs Coordinator
Oversee Kids Curriculum planning meeting
Report goal progress at Senior Staff Meeting
Discuss personal and ministry updates at lunch with Senior Pastor
Recruit new Kids Ministry volunteers
Attend Elders meetings as assigned by Senior Pastor
Quarterly:
Attend Kids Ministry Budget Review with Executive Pastor
Oversee Baby Dedication participants &; worship service events
Purchase Baby Dedication supplies, as needed
Annually:
Conduct annual reviews for all Kids Ministry direct reports
Conduct Kids Ministry Calendaring Retreat
Evaluate the Senior Pastor for Elder Team Review
Complete Personal Ministry Evaluation for Senior Pastor
Attend All Staff Play Days
Communicate anticipated ministry needs with Executive Pastor
Plan &; execute summer programming (EX: VBS, Pine Cove City, Last Bash, Promotion
Sunday, Big Kid Breakfast, 5th Grade Sundae, etc.)
Attend Senior Staff Calendaring, implementing the Kids Ministry calendar in the process
Attend Senior Staff Retreat
With the help of the Senior Pastor, determine Kids Ministry Goals for the year
Oversee Kids Ministry aspects of Easter Weekend, Christmas Eve, Sept Big Day, and
Jan Big Day
Host the Kids Ministry Staff Christmas party? Attend Senior Staff Christmas party
Attend Elder Staff Christmas party, when assigned
Occasionally:
Grant and record vacation days &; sick days for Kids Ministry Staff
Meet with kids (and their parents) who are ready to follow Christ or be baptized and input
into PF total church
Attend Production Meeting the week prior to being on the Main Stage
Attend Right, Wrong, Missing, Confusing meetings after being on the Main Stage
Review Playbook for Kids Ministry volunteers for corrections and additions
Oversee the writing of new Playbooks as needed
Write Task &; Responsibilities Descriptions for Kids Ministry Staff positions
Post Job Openings for Kids Ministry Staff positions
Schedule &; conduct interviews for Kids Ministry Staff positions
Track the progress of Kids Ministry Yearly Goals
Host worship services as requested by the Media Team
Meet with Kids Ministry volunteers, past, present, &; future
Meet with parents of kids when requested
Assist other ministry areas as needed (EX: banding invite cards, packing donations,
mailings, etc.)
Fill out facility/IT requests
Update information of families in Rock software
Clean-up/out Kids Ministry facility spaces as needed
Update Out-Of-Office emails/messages
Help distribute volunteer thank you gifts
Decorate Kids spaces for Big Days
Celebrate Kids Ministry Team Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc.
Change curriculum-themed room decorations
Attend other PF locations to encourage indirect reports and familiarize self with facilities
