The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Integration Engineer to be a vital part of an exciting new cybersecurity initiative, focusing on supporting critical government systems. Join us as we manage the development, integration, delivery, and maintenance of IT managed security services, which includes monitoring cybersecurity threats and enhancing the security posture across the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of an upcoming contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions.
  • Utilize your expertise in APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud technologies to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis for transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and the development of architecture baselines.
  • Engage in research and assist with the implementation of community policies and guidance.
  • Support business process enhancements or systems analysis reflecting mission, system, and fiscal requirements.
  • Drive project objectives and deliverables to successful completion.
  • Manage complex projects or processes with moderate to significant impact on outcomes.
  • Develop creative solutions for complex technical challenges that span multiple disciplines.
  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for applications, systems, and services across diverse environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to enable smooth connectivity and data exchange.
  • Optimize middleware, APIs, and communication protocols for efficient data flow.
  • Analyze system architectures, data models, and workflows to design secure and scalable integration solutions.
  • Document integration architectures, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Implement data transformation, mapping, and validation processes to ensure data quality.
  • Monitor API performance and ensure availability and scalability.
  • Maintain clear documentation of APIs and integration points for effective communication.
  • Leverage cloud platforms (AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps, Google Cloud Functions) to develop integration solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance middleware applications to guarantee high availability and performance.
  • Create and execute integration test plans for validating data integrity and system functionality.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues post-deployment.
  • Continuously enhance integration processes for improved efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement robust security measures in integration solutions, ensuring data privacy and compliance.
  • Participate in project planning and effort estimation for timely implementation.
  • Provide support in the troubleshooting and resolution of integration issues.
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. U.S. Citizenship is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Experience may offset formal education.
  • Thorough understanding of DoD IT security protocols and requirements.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions across diverse systems.
  • Proficiency with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with integration and middleware platforms.
  • Strong skills in programming/scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST, FTP, SFTP, WebSockets).
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles for data security.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, Dell Boomi Developer, AWS/Azure Certifications).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this role is a general guideline, considering factors like job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
