Lead Infrastructure Engineer Asset Management Boston, MA $200k
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who is strong in building AWS infrastructures to join our client's team as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer.
Our client is one of Boston's leading asset management firms, offering investment solutions for institutional clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with AWS technologies, building out infrastructures from scratch while mentoring junior members.
This role offers a hybrid working environment, with 2 days WFH. The office is in an ideal location in Boston city center and is easily commutable via public transport or car.
The infrastructure is split up into two main parts.
AWS - All their servers, infrastructure, global networking, etc is all AWS - looking to scale on this front
Azure- All their internal collaboration stuff is Azure & Windows (Teams, Email, SharePoint, etc)
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing cloud infrastructure using AWS EC2 and S3
- Creating AWS roadmaps. Design and implementation
- Creating an AWS infrastructure ideal for a company to scale.
- Managed basic Azure infrastructure - this is for Mail, SharePoint etc
Qualifications & Skills:
To be considered for this role, you must possess at least 8+ years' experience within engineering or related fields along with skills that include but are not limited to;
AWS expertise - As mentioned earlier, we require someone who has worked extensively working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology including EC2 instances. Be able to drive the roadmap in line with the company's growth aspiration.
The company has recently invested in new security tools / infrastructure and are now looking to replicate this on the AWS and infrastructure side.
Cloud Infrastructure design - Candidates applying should also demonstrate sound knowledge around designing Cloud-based architectures leveraging industry best practices/frameworks like TOGAF among others.
Windows Server Administration - Experience managing windows servers is key since it plays vital roles when setting up virtual machines either locally or remotely via Remote Desktop connections (RDC). You will also be required to manage Azure and AzureAD.
Salary:
$170,000 - $200,000
