Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Administrator with a strong background in Office 365 collaboration tools and enterprise cloud infrastructure to join our IT team in Bedford, MA. This hybrid role requires an experienced professional with at least 10 years of experience in infrastructure administration, including Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Active Directory, and cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead infrastructure projects across on-premise and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and lead administrator for Office 365 services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user access provisioning.
- Administer and support hybrid infrastructure environments including on-premise servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure best practices are followed for identity management, access controls, and data governance.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementations as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical issues and ensure high availability of infrastructure services.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and standards; participate in IT audits and compliance reviews.
- Support Level 2 and Level 3 escalations and mentor junior team members.
- Interface with business stakeholders to align IT solutions with operational needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure/system administration roles.
- Deep expertise in managing Office 365 services including Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Strong knowledge of both on-premise and cloud-based Active Directory environments.
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration, including file and storage systems.
- Proficiency with Azure and AWS cloud services, including IaaS and identity management.
- Experience working in hybrid environments and managing cloud migrations.
- Solid scripting and automation experience (PowerShell preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, AZ-104, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
- Experience with Okta or other SSO/IDaaS platforms.
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite in Bedford, MA weekly. Remote flexibility for remaining days.
- Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience - open to both full-time and contract arrangements.
