- Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join Takeda as the Lead (Associate Director), ENTYVIO Communications in Cambridge, MA.
- As the Lead (Associate Director), ENTYVIO Communications, you will report to the Head, GI and Inflammation Communications and join a team that is responsible for developing and executing strategic, integrated communications for Takeda's promising late-stage pipeline and marketed products in the U.S. and globally. You will also drive Takeda's reputation in IBD and gastroenterology through above-brand initiatives and storytelling.
How you will contribute:
- Working with the Head, GI and Inflammation Communications, develop and execute external product communication strategies to support ENTYVIO growth and Takeda's leadership in IBD.
- Lead milestone-specific product communication plans, including message development, global congress communication, media relations strategy, digital/social tactics, and quarterly investor messaging support.
- Partner closely with regional and U.S. patient advocacy, global corporate affairs, investor relations, and country communications teams to ensure consistent ENTYVIO, IBD, and Takeda growth narratives and communication strategies.
- Anticipate and prepare for potential product-related issues; Direct U.S. and Global ENTYVIO issues and crisis management.
- Lead communications for data and regulatory milestones, including scenario planning and strategy, for ongoing post-approval clinical studies
- Play integral role on U.S. and Global ENTYVIO commercial teams, representing the product communications function and providing strategic support and counsel.
- Provide program information, strategic guidance, and global alignment for regional and country communicators.
- Develop and execute U.S. and Global disease awareness programs including coordination on World IBD Day.
- Advise on communications strategies for major global IBD and gastroenterology medical congresses where data will be presented, liaising with R&D, Medical Communications, Media Relations, and Investor Relations teams as appropriate.
- Coordinate with relevant divisional employee communication teams for strategic, impactful internal communication relating program advances and major brand and/or pipeline milestones.
- Manage public relations agency partner and oversee communications budget for ENTYVIO.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
- 8+ years of work experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare, or at an agency, with a comprehensive understanding of the biopharma industry.
- Significant U.S. product launch experience required.
- At least 4 years of experience in product/pipeline communications, preferably in immunology, gastroenterology or inflammatory diseases.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional communications programs that are closely connected to business priorities.
- Aspirational mindset with ability to imagine and create possibilities for new paths forward, while inspiring others to see and act on these possibilities.
- Experience defining project plans and leading project teams.
- Experience and confidence to challenge ideas and engage in debates with colleagues.
- Track record of successfully working across highly matrixed teams and influencing change within a large global organization.
- Attention to detail and highly organized, with the ability to meet important deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to anticipate and address opportunities and challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills; ability to manage competing priorities and making difficult decisions for inclusion/exclusion.
- Required to prioritize and identify impactful initiatives, plan and execute on budgets and deprioritize in times of constraint and limitations.
- Need to ensure medical, legal and regulatory compliance across all communications content.
- Travel may be required (15%).

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives.
