About the Role
The Lead Generation Specialist will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting the firm's overall growth strategy. This position will report to a member of the senior leadership team and requires an understanding of the strategy consulting industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to generating leads and nurturing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities within the life sciences sector, including pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms.
- Qualify leads based on strategic fit and potential value to the firm, ensuring alignment with our consulting services.
- Initiate contact with prospective clients through targeted outreach, including calls, emails, and industry events.
- Schedule presentations to demonstrate the firm's expertise and value in addressing industry-specific challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop tailored proposals and presentations that address the unique needs and goals of clients.
- Plan and coordinate the firm's attendance at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events relevant to our industry.
- Develop strategies to maximize visibility and engagement at events, including organizing speaking opportunities, panel participation, and networking sessions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation efforts, pipeline status, and sales performance.
- Utilize Salesforce and other tools to track and manage business development efforts.
This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in-office at least two days per week (Wednesday & Thursday) in Durham, NC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the life sciences consulting or professional services environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence executive leadership.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a performance-based incentive plan.
