Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Financial Analyst to join our FP&A department. This role is crucial for driving financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making within Embrace Pet Insurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, management reporting, and business partnering, with excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with Power BI a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive management reporting regarding financial statements and KPIs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Parent Company Reporting: Lead financial reporting to our parent company, providing detailed insights and analysis.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
  • Departmental Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process for various departments, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to department heads and senior leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Manage and execute various ad hoc projects as required, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Data Analysis: Work with large quantities of data, utilizing Power BI and other tools to extract meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (eg, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in financial analysis, preferably with insurance experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
