In this position

The HCD Team is responsible for the end-to-end experience, including digital and physical design of new businesses, new products, and new services. We are looking for creative individuals to join us and help further the vision and mission of HCD's team. We are committed to envisioning and crafting simple, thoughtful, enjoyable, and compelling products and services for customers.

The position requires demonstrable expertise in creating industry-leading experiences from research insights and future trends.

You'll be responsible for creating experience design principles, journey mapping, service blueprinting and experience road mapping that align with needs of our end-users and businesses.

Responsibilities

What you'll do
  • Lead Experience Definition: Identify and define strategic experience opportunities that align user needs/passions with business goals.
  • Design Research: Serve as one of the subject matter experts (SME) on the Human-Centered Design (HCD) team for design research methodologies and their application.
  • Lead Insight Translation: Expertly translate customer/user insights into actionable design briefs and opportunities for design.
  • Lead Rapid Prototyping: Develop quick, iterative prototypes (especially with digital tools) to test and validate concepts.
  • Lead Experience Requirements Definition: Define comprehensive experience requirements, including key enablers, user needs, and system requirements, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support Product Concept Ideation and Creation: Facilitate the use of domain-based Experience Content Strategies in product concepting and design.
  • Lead Program Collaboration: Collaborate with key programs to ensure the consistent application of domain-based Experience Content Strategies and validate that key experiences are addressed in program assumptions.
  • Lead Experience Content Submission: Lead the submission process for platform content that falls outside of specific programs.
Qualifications

You'll have
  • A portfolio or case study demonstrating your research-driven design process
  • Degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience/service design experience with emphasis on the conception, user validation and delivery of applications and/or services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience leading the strategy, design, development and launch of B2B or B2C facing products or services
  • Strong verbal, written and visual presentation skills
Even better, you may have
  • Master's degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience/service design experience with emphasis on the conception, user validation and delivery of applications and/or services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with user research, concepting, ideation and iterative prototyping
  • Experience in human centered processes including heuristic evaluation techniques, framing challenges and iterative workflows; journey mapping, service blueprinting, Adobe workflow skills
  • Workshop planning and facilitation skills
  • Current on relevant technologies, trends, and techniques
  • Excellent understanding of production design practices, general product development processes, timing, and product lifecycles
