ManTech is seeking a motivated customer-oriented Lead Engineer to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The Lead Engineer is expected to be on-site with the customer in Chantilly, VA and may require occasional travel to locations within the WMA and worldwide. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for providing IT Architecture, Engineering, Technical, and Systems Administration support. The Lead Engineer provides all the necessary technical expertise and guidance to architect and design solutions for the customer. Ensuring effective execution of all architecture tasks with the customer assigned projects. Responsible for providing thought leadership for our clients while providing technical oversight for solution deployment engagements. Also, will play a critical role in understanding the clients' strategic and programmatic needs, proposing effective solutions, and consistently providing high-level customer service. In this role, you will be part of the program leadership and will regularly interface with client leadership and ManTech senior leadership. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead technical engagements to assess client business and technical objectives, determine deliverables, evaluate risk and execute projects effectively.
Design and implement medium to large-scale IT solutions, including data analytics platforms and cloud infrastructure.
Align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy
Identify and communicate current and emerging technology concepts
Conduct design workshops with multiple stakeholders
Work to develop strategic plans for architecture, engineering and integration.
Provide feedback and report to senior management as required
Identify implementation risks and analyze potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives
Participate in the design and implementation of IT service management standards, tools and methodologies
Design, implement and maintain procedures relating to service catalog and/or service level management activities
Assist in rectifying issues and improving service in faltering/failing projects Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant area (Computer Science or Systems Engineering)
10+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology
10+ years of experience implementing medium to large-scale IT solutions including platforms to conduct data analytics, data replication, heavily customized application suites, cloud infrastructure, thin/fat client desktop solutions
Experience leading and managing system updates, upgrades, change management, problem tracking and reporting
Appropriate ND 50-05/DoD 8570.01-M Certification Preferred Qualifications: ITIL v3 Foundation, or higher, certification
Experience with ServiceNow Security clearance requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ polygraph. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Frequently communicates w/co-workers, management & customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
