Lead Hardware Reliability Engineer - Robotics & Autonomous Systems" (Technical Systems-Focused)
We're working with a stealthy aerospace-tech company operating fleets of autonomous stratospheric platforms. They're looking for a Lead Hardware Reliability Engineer to build and manage a new division focused on keeping their hardware fleet mission-ready and flying.
This is a hands-on, build-it-yourself role. You'll be laying the groundwork for in-house maintenance, building systems from scratch, and managing a small team responsible for repairs, upgrades, and diagnostics.
Day-to-day you'll:
- Establish a workshop and reliability center from the ground up
- Hire and lead a multi-skilled maintenance team
- Oversee diagnostics, inspection, testing, and tracking for hardware units
- Identify recurring faults and suggest design/manufacturing fixes
- Be the go-to for hardware readiness and flight reliability
What you'll bring:
- 8+ years in a hardware-heavy engineering environment
- Experience in Aerospace, Robotics, UAVs, IoT, or similar
- Proven leadership and hiring experience
- Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to roll up sleeves
- A process-driven approach to testing and reliability
