KPMG is seeking a Lead Engineer I, Systems Infra Admin to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications; resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
- Recommend actions for fine tuning and capacity planning of existing systems; maintain up-to-date knowledge of new hardware and software developments; participate in the evaluation of alternative approaches and new software or modifications to enhance operations and development activities
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address the impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure which includes the installation and testing of new enterprise system software, and hardware releases
- Participate in generation and/or implementation of new ideas for enhancements and improvements; work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to make certain that they are informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframe
- Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project technical documentation including design, configuration, installation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, user reference guides, and project plans
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience in systems administration, preferably in large Enterprise Data Centers; technical knowledge across various disciplines to resolve complex infrastructure issues, interface with multiple vendors for hardware and software resolution
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills; experience with ESX/VSphere, Windows Server, Linux, SANs; ability to work in high-pressure environments, handle multiple tasks, and react quickly to problems
- Proficient in Aria Operations, Aria Automation, Scripting languages like PowerShell, Linux support experience
- Experience with Cisco UCS, Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix, XenServer, Proxmox, Verigio, AzureLocal, Hyper-V, cloud VMware solutions; Scripting languages like PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl, Node.js, Bash, PowerShell
- Understanding of systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server, Linux, SANs
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
