They are seeking an experienced Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and performance of critical technologies for advanced aviation, defense, and high-reliability industrial platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of aerospace-grade electro-mechanical assemblies, including high-power electromagnetic contactors and precision magnetic coils.
  • Investigate root causes of failures in both field and production settings; apply structured failure analysis methods to drive resolution.
  • Utilize simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS) for electromagnetic and thermal modeling to support and verify system-level performance.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to enhance manufacturability, optimize cost-efficiency, and increase product reliability.
  • Oversee modifications to existing product lines, including legacy system enhancements, obsolescence strategies, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain complete technical documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, testing protocols, and qualification plans.
  • Ensure all designs meet aerospace environmental standards and comply with industry regulations and certifications.
  • Provide technical insight and support for proposals, customer engagements, and the development of new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • 6-12 years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical component design, preferably in the aerospace sector.
  • Skilled in 3D CAD design (Autodesk Inventor preferred), with expertise in magnetic/thermal simulations and technical documentation practices.
  • Proven experience with solenoid, actuator, or coil systems, including material selection and designing for high-reliability environments.
  • Familiarity with qualification testing protocols and effective problem-solving techniques for root cause identification and resolution.

Compensation: $100k - $160k (DOE)
