Description The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos is seeking a skilled and innovative Lead DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will steer the integration, operations, and sustainment of various operational and in-development systems. You will be instrumental in deploying microservices using a DevSecOps pipeline in both Windows-based and Linux-based environments. Your expertise will help shape our CI/CD capabilities and guide technical implementation standards, ultimately enhancing the program's effectiveness.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline within multi-tenant environments.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipeline code.
- Configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying Docker containers.
- Setting up, managing, and deploying applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Reviewing code in Git and producing engineering documentation as necessary.
- Providing support for developer deployments and testing.
- Offering technical guidance for all capabilities and microservices.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive DevOps documentation.
- Collaborating with program leadership, customers, and technical stakeholders to identify existing practices and document use cases and gaps.
- Delivering hands-on technical analysis and assisting in service expansion and standardized implementation.
Basic Qualifications: - Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI post-hire.
- BS degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices and custom code standards, including branching strategies.
- Experience with GitLab functionality, metrics, and scripting.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes tools (e.g., kubectl, helm).
- Familiarity with AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, EKS, ECS).
- Knowledge of AWS Roles and Policies (IAM) for CI/CD pipeline standardization.
- Experience in AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway) and scaling practices.
- Understanding of cloud-based architectures (IaaS, PaaS) and DevOps toolsets.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and workflows.
- Direct experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software development and sustainment practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts and enabling COTS Products (Packer, Terraform).
- Skill in team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Microsoft Teams).
Preferred Qualifications: - Possession of TS/SCI with CI poly.
- Experience deploying solutions on the DTRA or DIA JWICS network.
- Contributions to DTRA or DIA interim authority to test (IATT) or authority to operate (ATO) processes.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD in a multi-tenant approach.
- Implementation experience with AWS Lambda functions, AWS EKS, and AWS ECS.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying containerized solutions.
- AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
- Linux certifications.
- Experience in developing use cases, features, and systems engineering documentation.
