What You'll Do: - Work closely with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using modern full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Team up with experienced developers specializing in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and leverage Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
- Stay ahead of tech trends and continuously improve your skills by experimenting with new technologies, and actively participate in technology communities while mentoring fellow engineers.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions designed to enhance customer experiences and empower millions of Americans financially.
- Conduct rigorous unit tests and code reviews to ensure your code is well-designed, efficient, and high-performing.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply).
- At least 1 year of experience working with big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in application development, specifically with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience in a public cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
- 2+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications.
- 2+ years of experience implementing NoSQL solutions (e.g., Mongo, Cassandra).
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience, especially with Redshift or Snowflake.
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic command usage and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.

The salary ranges mentioned apply specifically to candidates hired to work in McLean, VA ($158,600 - $181,000), Plano, TX ($144,200 - $164,600), and Richmond, VA ($144,200 - $164,600). Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated according to hours worked.
