About Our Team: The Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team focuses on some of the most crucial enterprise platforms at Capital One. We are fundamentally involved in creating best practices for technology solutions across the organization, while delivering capabilities that reflect those principles.
Your Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support advanced technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Engage with a team of expert developers in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
- Leverage programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and experience with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Redshift and Snowflake.
- Demonstrate your enthusiasm for emerging tech by exploring new technologies, participating in tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers.
- Partner with digital product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions aimed at empowering millions of Americans financially.
- Conduct unit tests and engage in reviews to ensure your code is well-designed, elegantly coded, and optimized for performance.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in application development (internship experience is not included).
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years in application development, proficient in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience utilizing distributed data/computing tools (such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
- 2+ years working with real-time data and streaming applications.
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations (such as MongoDB or Cassandra).
- 2+ years of experience in data warehousing (specifically Redshift or Snowflake).
- 3+ years experience working with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience applying Agile engineering practices.

- Plano, TX: $144,200 - $164,600
