What You'll Be Doing: - Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, and support innovative solutions across full-stack development technologies.
- Work alongside seasoned developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and comprehensive systems.
- Utilize programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, leveraging cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
- Stay updated on technology trends, experiment with new tools, engage in tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions, empowering millions of Americans in their financial journeys.
- Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in application development.
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of application development experience, including proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL).
- 2+ years of experience in real-time data processing and streaming applications.
- 2+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra).
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux systems, including command line and Shell Scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
Salary Information: The annual salary for this role varies based on location, with the range for McLean, VA, being $158,600 - $181,000. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
