Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.
- Engage with a talented team of developers proficient in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
- Utilize programming languages, including Java, Scala, and Python, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
- Stay updated on technology trends, experiment with new tools, engage with technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
- Conduct unit tests and collaborate with team members to ensure code is well-designed, elegantly written, and optimized for performance.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development (no internship experience).
- At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in application development, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL).
- 2+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications.
- 2+ years of experience with testing frameworks (Pytest, Behave).
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo, Cassandra).
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake).
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.

The minimum and maximum Full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below: McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000; Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600. Actual salary will be reflected in the candidate's offer letter. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
