Title: Lead Data Engineer/Director of Data

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: Full Time

This individual contributor role will be responsible for integrating and centralizing data sources across sales, marketing, product, engineering, operations, and finance. You will build the company's cloud-native data infrastructure from the ground up, establishing pipelines, cleaning and transforming data, and delivering actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. You'll also lay the foundation for a future team and analytics function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a modern cloud-based data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) consolidating fragmented sources such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Redash, and Netsuite
  • Develop scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from cross-functional systems
  • Design systems to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity through validation rules and checks
  • Deliver business-ready views and tables that serve as a single source of truth for analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and align reporting with business objectives
  • Be a strategic partner on data tools, frameworks, and infrastructure design
  • Help shape a scalable analytics function with future team leadership potential

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have experience working for a B2B SaaS based organization.
  • Must have experience building out B2B/SaaS based KPIs.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI, preferably at a fast-growing SaaS or tech company
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data tools such as dbt and Airflow
  • Expertise in data warehouse design and enterprise data modeling
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to turn data into actionable business insights
  • A builder mentality-focused on infrastructure, design, scalability, and process improvement
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and the ability to tell a story through operational and financial data
  • A self-starter excited by fast-paced, startup-style environments and eager to make an outsized impact

This is a rare opportunity to build something from scratch at a company already achieving massive growth. If you enjoy ownership, zero-to one challenges, and making data a competitive advantage, this role is built for you.
