ALTA IT Services is staffing a contract opportunity for a Risk Adjustment Data Analyst to support a leading health insurance customer. The main purpose of a data analyst is to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions. The individual will interpret and apply Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment rules, regulations, and processes in analytics projects.

Must have Power BI, and SQL experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end analytical support to Risk Adjustment and broader quality teams.
- Independently build, manage, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries and Power BI dashboards.
- Design and implement workflow automations using Alteryx and Microsoft Fabric.
- Analyze and reconcile vendor data (e.g., Pareto) as it relates to RA processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business needs.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analytical outputs.
- Support ad hoc reporting and insights generation for Risk Adjustment and, potentially, Stars and Quality in the future.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience specifically in Medicare Risk Adjustment.
- Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, RA coding, and Medicare Advantage plan structures.
- 4-6 years of advanced experience with MS SQL Server Management Studio.
- Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
- Proficient in Alteryx and Microsoft Fabric workflow automation platforms.
- Prior experience working with healthcare insurance data.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
