THE JOB - Develop comprehensive security architectures aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide detailed security design specifications and architectural diagrams.
- Identify and mitigate architectural weaknesses proactively.
- Oversee security system integration within existing IT infrastructures.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to deploy secure solutions.
- Validate and optimize the effectiveness of security controls.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend optimal solutions.
- Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations to vet new technologies.
- Provide guidance for system improvements and optimizations.
- Act as a mentor and technical consultant for team members.
- Provide subject-matter expertise during incident response and troubleshooting.

- Ensure security designs comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in audits, assessments, and remediation planning.
- Maintain thorough documentation of security systems and processes.

THE REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8-10 years in cybersecurity, focusing on security architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level security systems.
- Experience with diverse security technologies, including network, cloud, and application security.
- Advanced knowledge of security frameworks and principles.
- Proficiency in technologies like firewalls, encryption protocols, IAM solutions, and SIEM platforms.
- Expertise in designing scalable, resilient security solutions.
- CISSP, CISM, or similar relevant DoD 8570 certification is required.
