- Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the kitchen/dining area team leader and work with kitchen team members in the preparation and serving of nutritious foods for the residents of the facility.
All activities must support the Firetree, Ltd. mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
Monitor inventory and order food/supplies as needed.
Schedule kitchen team members to ensure appropriate coverage.
Prepare and serve meals according to the set menu.
Maintain the kitchen/dining area to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
Will follow food preparation lists as established by the registered dietician and/or Food Service Supplier.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements Job Requirement
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the preparation of food for large groups of individuals. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must be ServeSafe certified OR willing to immediately obtain.
Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, the employee should have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.

Employee will be working with kitchen ingredients, washing utensils, maintaining storage areas, and coping with the fast-paced kitchen environment. The employee must be able to communicate via email and verbally via telephone. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
