Prepare and cook food, while also maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.Cooks may also help with menu planning, ordering ingredients, and training other kitchen staff.

Responsibilities
  • Food preparation:Wash, chop, and marinate ingredients
  • Cooking:Bake, fry, grill, and boil food
  • Food safety:Follow food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Kitchen maintenance:Clean workspaces, utensils, and dishes
  • Food storage:Manage food storage and stock levels
  • Menu planning:Help plan menus and order ingredients
  • Recipe selection:Select and follow recipes
  • Dietary needs:Adjust recipes to meet special dietary requirements
  • Presentation:Present attractive, garnished dishes
  • Communication:Liaise with wait staff and management
Must have culinary experience, professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to follow instructions and lead with limited direction. Must be able to follow all food safety guidelines and regulations.
