The incumbent serves as the Alterations and Repair Program Lead Construction Control Representative over a group engaged in the planning, coordinating, designing, estimating, and inspecting reimbursable projects, where typical work assignments and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Performs inter-agency coordination, professional engineering, construction management, or architectural work in support of Alteration Work Group (AWG) projects. Communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Responsible for the "cradle to grave" overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects. Plans, leads, conduct, monitors, and evaluates complex designs and studies involving theoretical analysis of design characteristics, capacity of existing systems, and projected requirements for facilities systems. Assures qualified review of projects designed and constructed by in-house labor and others, such as private engineering consultants, for sound engineering determination, technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Pentagon Building code and standards and user requirements. Read more about what should I include in my federal resume? at You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: (1) Completing work for a variety of construction programs in support of operational facilities and equipment; (2) Conducting quality control procedures, such as: inspection instructions, control measuring and/or testing equipment, etc.; and, (3) Managing fulfillment of construction contracts to ensure construction projects proceed on schedule and in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
