Your Future Awaits. The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is eager to welcome a talented Lead Configuration Manager. You will play a pivotal role in a new cyber security program, aiding in the oversight, integration, delivery, and maintenance of IT managed security services. Engage in a mission-critical project that supports monitoring of cybersecurity threats and enhances security posture awareness across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: - Enhance and oversee configuration management strategies for mission-critical systems vital to national security.
- Lead strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with strict standards, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and efficient secure solutions.
- Develop a comprehensive Cybersecurity Configuration Management Plan (CMP) that aligns with DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Incorporate CM practices with cybersecurity goals to guarantee systems remain secure, resilient, and compliant with DoD guidelines.
- Identify and record cybersecurity-related Configuration Items (CIs) including operating systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, critical patches, configurations, and software baselines.
- Establish and maintain secure baselines for IT configurations to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Ensure thorough cybersecurity-specific change management processes that assess potential security impacts prior to modifications.
- Manage Patch Management processes, ensuring timely tracking, testing, and deployment of security patches in compliance with DoD Vulnerability Management.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to assess risks and conduct controlled tests of changes prior to deployment.
- Regularly verify the integrity of system configurations to identify unauthorized changes or misconfigurations.
- Maintain comprehensive configuration documentation for cybersecurity-critical components.
- Safeguard sensitive documentation and system baselines, ensuring compliance with DoD information security standards.
- Proactively identify risks tied to misconfigurations or deviations from secure baselines.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities arising from configuration changes, implementing necessary mitigations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with DoD Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.
- Utilize automation tools to continuously monitor and ensure unauthorized changes are detected promptly.
- Provide training to technical teams on cybersecurity configuration best practices, emphasizing the importance of secure baseline management and change control.
- Work alongside cybersecurity, network engineering, and risk management teams to support robust cyber defense objectives.
What We Need From You: - Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.
- A Master's degree with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience or a Doctorate with 13 to 16 years of relevant experience; experience may compensate for educational qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with mission-critical or government systems in regulated environments.
- Expertise in configuration management tools such as ServiceNow or similar systems.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks like ITIL or DevOps.
- Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2).
- Security certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
