We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Lead Collection System Operator for an exciting opportunity in the Engineering industry. This key role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of wastewater systems and will have a proven track record in managing and leading teams. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the wastewater collection system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Lead and manage a team of operators, providing training, guidance, and support as necessary.
3. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the collection system, identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions.
4. Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and protocols, striving for continuous improvement.
5. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders on projects and initiatives related to the wastewater collection system.
6. Monitor and analyze system performance data, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
8. Manage the budget for the wastewater collection system, ensuring cost-effective operations.
9. Stay current with industry trends and advancements, implementing best practices in wastewater system operations.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater systems operation and management.
2. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to wastewater systems.
3. Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on training and development.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders.
6. Proficient in the use of computer systems and software for data analysis and reporting.
7. Certified as a Collection System Operator or equivalent is highly desirable.
8. Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance in the workplace.
9. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, with a focus on cost-efficiency.
10. CLASS E WASTEWATER CERTIFICATION - REQUIRED
