Responsibilities: The Lead CNC Programmer-Operator is responsible for the oversight to shift activities in alignment with production targets and company standards. This role coordinates with Operations Manager and Business Leaders to avoid downtime and to meet delivery schedules. The Lead CNC Programmer-Operator is responsible for creating and modifying parts using specialized software. Collaborate with engineers to design and plan the production process and use their programming knowledge to create code that controls the tools and machines used to create the end-product. Read and interpret blueprints and translate the product design. Concurrent to this, the position also entails CNC lathe machine operation.
- Not a Manager of People, but will assist with supervising the activity of production operators
- Interacts with departmental managers to coordinate production requirements and staff scheduling
- Assists lead setups with quality issues and schedules changes as required
- Expedites materials from receiving to production and finished goods to shipment in order to minimize production delays
- Create code that directs CNC machines to produce precise parts
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine necessary tool paths and cutting speeds
- Test programs and troubleshoot any issues.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as design and engineering, to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of parts.
- Maintain and update software and hardware as needed.
- Monitor production runs and adjusts programming as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Documents programming and maintains records for future reference.
- Operate CNC lathe machine.
- Cleans and maintains assembly equipment.
- Follows safety and quality standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and monitors the fulfillment of all legal and internal requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment
- Leads by example and line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while fostering a proactive work culture
Qualifications:- High School Diploma, Technical Training, or equivalent degree
- 3+ years of CNC Programming experience, preferably with Plastics
- High level of commitment and flexibility
- Willingness and ability to work shifts
- Willingness and resilience to meet the physical demands of the position
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and consistently changing environment
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively and independently.
- Proven ability to problem solve and trouble shoot.
Hourly Pay Range: $29.00 to $33.00 per hour and position qualifies for Overtime Pay
