Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is looking for a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office's (RSO) Digital Architectures and Capabilities (DAC) branch. This opportunity allows you to work with innovative technologies and collaborate with industry and government entities to enhance USAF readiness through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

Your primary mission will be to ensure secure capabilities are provided to the Warfighter by optimizing risk-informed decision-making processes and managing confidentiality, integrity, and availability across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Cloud Security Engineer, you will:
  • Develop cybersecurity requirements for various technology prototypes, ensuring alignment with DoD/DAF standards.
  • Implement cloud security controls and identify appropriate architectures for different environments.
  • Apply defense-in-depth strategies against recognized vulnerabilities.
  • Create policies and guidance to support system security objectives.
  • Contribute to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and associated documentation.
  • Maintain system security posture while collaborating with integrators and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity across the system development life cycle.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial cloud services such as Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of industry assessment methods and tools for security evaluation.
  • Understanding of system application security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to conduct technical audits of systems.
  • Strong communication skills for advocating necessary cybersecurity resources.
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to assess security control needs for information systems and networks.
  • Experience in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing tools.
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering process.
Education Requirements:

A minimum of a BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields from an ABET accredited institution.

Certifications:

Candidates should possess a relevant certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP among others listed.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
