The Lead Cloud Platform Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Enterprise Cloud Platform services used by all Johnson & Johnson affiliates. This individual will collaborate closely with platform Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to improve the reliability of services and assist partners in ensuring stability. Regular engagement with J&J business partners will be crucial to align services with their business objectives. Furthermore, this role will involve partnering with colleagues across other dependent Enterprise IT service offerings to maintain continuity of our platform services. Key Responsibilities & Duties: - Ownership of Cloud Platform Lifecycle: Lead all aspects of the cloud platform lifecycle, including technical strategy, prioritization, delivery, and performance management.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with Platform Owners and Product Owners to build a technical backlog that delivers business value while addressing the needs of supporting teams.
- Cross-Team Dependency Management: Partner with the Platform Architect and technology teams to coordinate and handle dependencies between teams.
- Roadmap Refinement: Improve the cloud platform and services roadmap by balancing business value, technical feasibility, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Interaction Model Development: Establish clear communication standards and practices between product groups using the cloud platform to ensure clarity in decision-making.
- Alignment to Enterprise Architecture: Ensure that the platform aligns with broader Enterprise Architecture guidelines, including APIs, security controls, and data standards, while maintaining expertise in relevant technical capabilities.
- Solution Selection: Drive the selection process for platform solutions and collaborate with Lead Engineers to evaluate technical components before user testing.
- Tool and Infrastructure Development: Build tools and infrastructure for deploying, supervising, and leading production services and products.
- Optimization for Use: Ensure that delivered solutions are user-friendly, reusable, and scalable.
- Technological Awareness: Stay informed about relevant technologies and industry trends to assist users in applying the best tools and techniques.
- Project Coordination: Be responsible for and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leverage Team Strengths: Use the strengths of team members to achieve the best outcomes.
- Security and Scalability Assessment: Assess and design sophisticate computer topologies to meet the organization's security and scalability requirements.

Required: - Minimum B.S (Computer Science, or other related Engineering field equivalent) and 5 years industry experience.
- Expertise in either AWS or Azure is required. Experience in the other is preferred.
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting large scale enterprise cloud application platforms.
- Experience in secure solutions design for cloud environments in regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of network design and security in cloud environments.
- Strong programming background, with extensive experience in Python.
- Expert in AWS or Azure cloud platform services and management.
- Expertise in Data services & capabilities (Warehouses, Lakehouses, etc) AWS or Azure.
- Experience in the design and management of customer-facing services.
- Experience in troubleshooting and debugging.
- Experience working with Git and source code managed cloud infrastructure development.
- Experience delivering production software within the constraints of Agile SDLC.
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred: - Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is highly preferred.
- Cloud certifications highly preferred.
- Masters in Computer Science is preferred.
- Experience in at least one programming language such as: Python/JavaScript/Groovy/Go/Rust/C , etc.
- Experience in designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with supervising and solving complex distributed systems.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool set (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket).
The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $108,800-$147,200 Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year.
