Job Title: Lead - Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
Location: Bengaluru
What you will do:
The Lead - Business Continuity Plan will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies. This role ensures operational resilience, compliance with regulatory requirements, and readiness to address potential disruptions, safeguarding the company's broking/fintech services in India.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop, maintain, and update the organization's Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) framework.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks that could disrupt business operations and design mitigation strategies.
- Align BCP strategies with regulatory guidelines set by SEBI, AMFI, IRDAI, and other relevant authorities.
Risk Assessment & Analysis
- Ensure and support in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) by concerned businesses and departments, to identify critical business processes and dependencies.
- Help assessing risks to key operations, infrastructure, and third-party dependencies
Policy & Governance
- Draft, update, and enforce Business continuity management and DR policies in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with broking/fintech-specific regulations and guidelines.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees on BCP procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate continuity planning into daily operations.
Testing & Monitoring
- Track regular BCP and DR drills/tests to evaluate plan effectiveness.
- Analyze test results, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Incident Response & Crisis Management
- Support the crises management team for assessing disruption and implementing crises management plans, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders during crises to minimize business impact.
Vendor & Technology Coordination
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to ensure the robustness of backup systems and DR sites.
- Monitor the effectiveness of tools and technologies supporting continuity plans.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare reports on BCP activities, test results, and incident responses for senior management and regulators.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all BCP processes, updates, and test outcomes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful execution of BCP drills with minimal gaps.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements for BCP/DR.
- Reduced downtime during disruptions.
- Employee participation and awareness levels in training sessions.
- Timeliness and accuracy of incident response and reporting.
Who you are:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, IT, or related fields. A master's degree or certification (e.g., CBCP, DRII, ISO 22301) is preferred.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Continuity Planning, Risk Management, or related domains.
- Experience in broking, fintech, or financial services industries.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in India (SEBI, AMFI, IRDAI etc).
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and DR technologies.
