General Purpose: As a Bartender at Bayside, you will craft a variety of beverages, serve them directly to customers or through wait staff, and ensure a well-managed bar operation. You will be responsible for mixing drinks, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service.
Essential Duties: - Take orders from customers or Bar Waiter/Waitress.
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and bitters to prepare cocktails and drinks.
- Serve wine, draft or bottled beer, and soft drinks.
- Collect money for drinks and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and order liquor and supplies when inventory is low.
- Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive display.
- Slice and prepare fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Serve food as requested by customers.
- Serve drinks in accordance with Florida Beverage Laws.
- Upsell drinks and liquor to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic Required Skills: - Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Problem-solving skills for handling standardized situations.
Physical Demands: - Most work tasks are performed outdoors in a natural environment.
- Must be able to stand and move at a steady pace for at least 5+ hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete tasks.
- Ability to maneuver between multiple functions happening simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50-100 lbs. as needed.
- Requires grasping, standing, walking, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Frequent talking and hearing are necessary for communicating with guests and team members.
- Vision includes near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
