What You'll Do In this hands-on leadership position, you will have a significant impact by collaborating closely with the founding team to redesign and enhance backend systems that support millions of daily phone interactions. You'll also play a vital role in expanding the engineering team, mentoring junior developers, and shaping the technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities - Design and scale backend infrastructure to support real-time audio interactions
- Create and maintain robust public APIs for seamless partner integrations
- Develop connections to CRMs, dialers, scheduling tools, and custom APIs
- Collaborate with backend engineers on real-time communication systems
- Guide junior team members and assist in recruitment efforts
- Work with DevOps to enhance deployment and scalability
- Support frontend developers in building user-friendly web applications
- Partner with machine learning engineers to integrate proprietary AI models
What We're Looking For - 5 - 7 years of experience in designing and scaling backend systems
- A proven record of building high-throughput, public-facing APIs
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus (Seed or Series A+ preferred)
- In-depth expertise in Python or Go
- Excellent technical communication skills
