About Our Client This organization is offering a candidate a 100% remote opportunity to work at a SaaS company that recently received funding, and is looking to expand their internal engineering team. The company is currently less than 10 employees, and is a fully remote organization with employees across the US. Job Description The key responsibilities for the Lead Backend Developer / Lead Software Engineer will include but not be limited to:
- Working with product team and lead engineer to develop implementation plans for upcoming features
- Execute plans using SOLID design principles
- Ensure all feature requirements are met with automated and manual testing
- Plan and execute deployment procedures
- Ensure code is of high quality
This is a chance for you to mentor a junior engineer and the long-term opportunity (if you're interested.) is to be a Director of Engineering / Engineering Manager. Please note if you'd like to stay as an individual contributor that is also fine but the growth path is clear for an ambitious candidate.

The Successful Applicant The successful Lead Backend Developer / Lead Software Engineer candidate will have the following:
- 8+ years experience as a Backend Software Engineer
- Extensive .NET and .NET Core experience
- PostgreSQL experience
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Experience working for a SaaS company
- Experience working for a smaller organization, preferably a start-up
- Cloud experience is essential (preferably Azure but AWS is fine)
- Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Event driven design experience is a plus
- Great communication is a must - both written and verbal
