Job Description:
  • We are seeking a motivated and energetic Lead AWS Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud development, particularly with AWS, Java, Spring Boot, and data engineering.
  • This hybrid role requires working in East Coast timing.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop MVP User Stories, including reusable components, APIs, UI, and mock stubs.
  • Support backlog creation, prioritization, and story mapping.
  • Provide hands-on developer experience with support for technical design and solutioning.
  • Work across tiers, including UI development, APIs, databases, and CI/CD pipeline creation/configuration.
  • Participate in XP and pair programming, performing TDD.
  • Ensure task delivery and quality through daily pairing with client team members.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership.
  • Turn complex ideas into manageable pieces of work.
  • Mentor other developers and support team members on troubleshooting.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.
Key Technology Skill Set:
  • AWS platform and services knowledge, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EMR, Hudi, Glue, Kafka, Flink.
  • Java, Spring Boot, CI/CD using Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins.
  • Primary skills: AWS, Java, Spring Boot, Flink, ETL data processing.
  • Secondary skills: Python/Pyspark, Terraform.
  • Additional skills: Spark, MongoDB/DynamoDB/Aurora.
Qualifications:
  • AWS Certification (Associate or Architect) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud development (preferably 8-12 years, not all necessarily in AWS).
  • Ability to understand future architecture and guide the team with required technical direction.
  • Strong ability to work independently when required.
  • Experience in paired programming and XP development.
