Lead Automation Tester

Vaco is hiring a Lead, QA Automation Tester for a direct hire opportunity in Cincinnati, OH.

This role is 100% onsite in downtown Cincinnati

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hands on development of Functional Test Automation scripts for User Interface (UI) and API/Services testing.

• Help lead test automation initiatives, support the design and development of robust, maintainable, scalable and sustainable scripts using automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, Git, Maven, IntelliJ; Programming languages such as Java, .Net, C , etc.

• Support of the API and UI test automation framework by identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.

• Identify and develop opportunities to enhance testing efficiencies, process quality, and implementation of innovative solutions as part of continuous testing within the software delivery pipeline.

• Collaborate with automation and non-automation Software Quality resources along with other key stakeholders such as development, business analysis, and project management teams

Must Have Requirements:

• 7+ years hands-on experience in software test engineering; Strong understanding of various SDLC processes, QA lifecycle and methodology with expertise in using market leading automation testing tools.

• At least 2 years of lead test automation experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience Selenium (Test Automation Framework); Experience in automation using testing frameworks, such as Keyword driven, Data driven and other relevant best practices

• 3+ years of hands-on experience programming in Java (or other object oriented programming language)

• Recent hands-on experience API Testing (ReadyAPI, SOAPUI, Postman), including RESTful and SOAP APIs; XML and JSON format.

• Solid database experience testing using SQL retrieve and /or setup use of test data.
