Job Description:
Summary:
In addition to assembly, helps with training Assembler employees and contractors. Tests and inspects fabricated items, maintaining high quality standards. Works with the Production Manager to come up with creative solutions to problems. Helps monitor inventory and assists with production planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Monitors inventory levels and submits requisitions as appropriate
- Assists the Production Manager with production planning
- Manages the execution of the cycle count program
- Assists with assembly work as needed
- Read and understand technical drawings
- Assemble and document prototype assemblies as required by Engineering
- Inspect materials for defects, non-conformities, and cosmetic issues
- Pick up components from inventory, assist in crate and box shipments for delivery
- In-process inspection and test of panels and component sub-assemblies
- Ability to use and maintain advanced shop tools
- Provide input to production manager on unique manufacturing issues and opportunities for improvement
- Complete and submit all required documentation
- Clean and maintain production areas, including mopping, sweeping and general maintenance tasks throughout the production facility as needed
- Follows documented ISO procedures and assembly instructions

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer minimum of 5 years' experience in related field, including 3 years' experience with product assembly.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is frequently required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 60+ pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; and hazardous materials (cleaning solutions and coatings).
