ManTech seeks a highly talented Launch Vehicle Mission Assurance Project Engineer with skills and background related to launch vehicle avionics design and test, avionics hardware manufacturing, quality assurance, and launch operations to help the Space Force redefine the future of Assured Access to Space (AATS), supporting the existing AATS United Launch Alliance (ULA) fleet and bringing the ULA Vulcan rocket into the Space Force AATS portfolio. This position is in El Segundo, CA. This position supports United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Center (SSC) launch services for AATS missions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide LV systems engineering expertise at our El Segundo. Frequent travel to CONUS required to ULA Decatur Manufacturing Facilities (Decatur, AL), VSFB (Lompoc, CA) and CCSFS (Florida), and other sites to support launch meetings and operations.
Areas of expertise: Launch Vehicles (LVs), LV Avionics hardware design and test, Electro-mechanical hardware, launch operations, or LV and launch systems software.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary technical team to plan, participate in, and lead Engineering Review Boards, provide risk assessments and technical recommendations direct to the Space Force customer.
Prepare status and readiness review packages including risk recommendations and mitigations. Produce integrated technical assessments on design, test, manufacturing, and operations.
Perform systems engineering functions such as requirements definition, design review, test review, pedigree, hardware acceptance, verification, operations, and post-flight analyses.
Prepare Customer team for, and directly support, rehearsals and launch operations, including the anomaly resolution process. Perform technical and engineering data management, such as data mining and reporting. Collaborate with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors (LVCs), Launch Sites, production factories.
Serve as authority in your technical specialization, support USSF customers in the preparation for and execution of Chief Engineer briefings, Weekly Status Reviews, and other SSC processes. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM field.
10+ years systems engineering, technical program management, or other related experience.
3+ years of AATS, Launch/Range, DoD, NASA or industry equivalent launch or space systems project engineering experience.
Knowledge/experience with LV systems (solid rockets motors, liquid propellant rocket engines and systems, ordnance, hydraulics, in-flight avionics, LV ground support equipment, LV structures, composite materials, etc.)
Experience with LV design, processing, integration, testing, launch and anomaly resolution. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Atlas, Delta and/or Vulcan system design, manufacture, test, and operations preferred.
Experience with USSF, NRO, NASA, and LV Contractors and subcontractors preferred.

Experience with agile software products, such as Jira/Confluence, highly desired
Competency in MS Office, Information Technology systems, and SharePoint-type databases Clearance Requirement: US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
