A Snapshot of Your Day

Setup and operate conventional and CNC rotor shaft lathes. You will also perform various machining operations on a variety of components from large nuclear to industrial single stage rotors, and work with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and problem solve.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Sound knowledge in the use of mathematics, interpreting complex drawings, specifications and use of various precision machining instruments
  • Associates degree in machining and minimum 2 years of experience with large CNC lathes OR 5= years of proven ability
  • Experience with Siemens 840D and Fanuc controls is an asset
  • Experience with live head drilling / milling is an asset

What You Bring

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or trade school certificate is preferred with 6+ years of CNC lathe experience, preferably using steady rest supports
  • A basic knowledge of machine shop operations together with the ability to understand complex drawings, specifications, charts, and tables.
  • Ability to use various types of precision measuring instruments and ability to obtain fork truck and crane license. Previous experience is preferred.
  • Successful applicants can pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to live and work legally in the United States.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
