Surprise Valley Resources, LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Land Technician to join our team. As a Land Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting land management activities, including land acquisition, lease lease administration and database management while maintaining organizied and up-to-date land records related to development activities.
Responsibilities
- Lease and Acquisition File Management: Build and maintain organized lease, prospect, and acquisition files, ensuring that all relevant documents are complete, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Document Routing and Data Management: Route and upload land-related data and documents to the internal document management system to ensure proper storage and organization.
- Land Database Maintenance: Update and maintain the land database to ensure it is current with the latest land transactions, lease agreements, and acquisition details.
- Research and File Review: Conduct thorough research of land and contract files to gather necessary information for acquisition or lease administration purposes.
- Tracking Deadlines and Obligations: Monitor key deadlines, contractual obligations, and outstanding documents to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance with land agreements.
- Payment and Documentation Requests: Submit requests for payments related to land leases and acquisitions, and assist with drafting letters, mail-outs, and other correspondence related to land activities.
- Support for the Land Team: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the land team, assisting with various tasks and ensuring smooth project operations.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, OneDrive, and Outlook, with strong technical skills in these applications.
- Familiarity with land lease and acquisition processes, land database systems, and document management software is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft letters, emails, and reports clearly and professionally.
- High attention to detail with a keen ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to track multiple tasks and deadlines.
- At least 2 years of experience in documentation, record-keeping, and file management.
