Responsibilities
Prairie Energy is seeking an individual to manage our growing portfolio of oil & gas mineral, royalty and non-op working interests, while also contributing to ongoing acquisition efforts. This position will report to the VP of Land while supporting other functions of the business. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow each day as the role expands to fit business needs, has oil & gas division order experience and is a problem solver.
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
Land Admin Division Order Review
- Maintain master well list for new activity, acquisitions and ownership changes.
- Process all transfers of interest, incoming division orders, and review title, as-drilled plats and associated contracts to confirm ownership.
- Process and timely respond to incoming AFEs for workovers and new wells.
- Support acquisition efforts by researching targets, aggregating data and consolidating large quantities of information into actionable summaries.
- Build and maintain master tract list and associated shapefiles while collaborating with a GIS professional.
Other Tasks
- Build relationships with operators to ensure the Company is in pay status and timely receives well data as provided for under the governing agreements.
- Create and maintain well folders by incorporating legacy well information and ongoing daily reports, production and associated data.
- Other general office administrative tasks that may be requested from time to time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent employment history.
- Oil & gas industry experience preferred, specifically in land administration or division orders.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with an understanding of how to adapt communication style for different audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maneuver efficiently between unrelated tasks as priorities shift throughout the day.
- Eager to learn and grow each day as role expands to fit business needs.
This position is available full-time and is based in Englewood, Colorado. Compensation will be commensurate with candidate's experience and availability.
