Currently, in partnership with several consortium members, Balfour Beatty has been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-its-kind, fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage, a key component in making Teesside the UK's first decarbonised industrial cluster.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Land Engineering Survey Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project, based at our new site in Redcar.
What you'll be doing
- Lead daily survey operations and project execution
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Own the survey lifecycle, including scoping, costing, and project management
- Implement innovative survey design techniques aligned with project requirements
- Manipulate, analyze, and present data using appropriate tools
- Mentor and train survey team members to ensure skill development
- Set individual development objectives and ensure timely completion of Balfour Beatty PDRs
- Manage site records related to all survey activities
Who we're looking for
- Proficiency in multiple survey software and hardware packages
- Knowledge of and experience in reviewing design deliverables in digital formats
- Understanding of geodetic requirements for construction projects
- Experience with up-to-date survey data reality capture methods
- Ability to set up local base networks and establish connected site environments
