Overview:
A growing, 100% employee-owned engineering firm is seeking a Land Development Civil Engineering Project Manager to serve as the Portsmouth, NH Office Lead. This role involves planning, organizing, designing, and managing projects to ensure successful completion within established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) policies. Projects typically involve land development civil engineering with a focus on downtown structures and commercial site plans.
Duties:
- Lead and manage land development projects and client relationships in the Portsmouth, NH area
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers, technicians, and designers
- Develop design concepts including drainage analysis and prepare effective, professional plans and specifications
- Present projects to planning boards and commissions for approval
- Work with regulatory agencies to secure project approvals
- Prepare agreements including scope, schedule, work plan, and fees, and monitor financial performance
- Participate in career development planning, performance reviews, mentoring, and team resource sharing
- Cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling and business development

Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering required (Advanced degree desirable)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry and project management experience
- Extensive knowledge of land development and site/civil engineering principles and practices
- Effective leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Criminal background check and driving record check required
