Our client is a family-owned global mechanical system and component manufacturer located in
Geneva, IL(link removed) Due to a person leaving for medical school, they are looking for a
LabView programming/data analyst type to develop and maintain LabView code for the control of equipment and collection data during laboratory tests.
The
Role entails:
- Graphic programming and analysis
- Updating graphical user interfaces
- Involvement with digital/analog motion control
- Performing:
- Data validation
- Reduction
- Analysis, and
- Presentation
- for Laboratory and Field Testing
- 100% on site with very limited travel
The
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SOMAT code for the collection of data during field tests.
- Troubleshoot abnormalities/failures of:
- Electronic sensors
- Data anomalies
- Computers
- Data acquisition systems
- Collaborate with R&D and Maintenance personnel on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical test equipment and repairs/upgrades.
- Research, recommend, and specify new data collection equipment/procedures toward enhancing and expanding R&D capabilities
- Involved with assisting the Engineering Department in design and analysis of physical data
- Setting up tests and sensors
- Troubleshooting electrical equipment applying strain gauges
- Identifying new technologies/improvements in testing software and sensors
The
ideal candidate:
- BS in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technology field (highly desired) or AAS in Engineering or Physical Science (mandatory)
- HMI programming experience in LabView
- Knowledge of:
- data acquisition systems
- machine control systems and/or
- electronic transducers
Client is open to hiring a recent college grad with LabView and data analysis experience.
The
Compensation:
- Salary range: $65,000 to $95,000
