Labourer
Location: Friston, Suffolk
Pay Rate: 20 - 26 ph PAYE/ PAYE UMBRELLA/ CIS UMBRELLA
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assist groundworkers, plant operators, and other trades as required
-
Digging and backfilling trenches for drainage and utilities
-
Mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete
-
Loading and unloading materials and tools
-
Keeping the site clean, tidy, and safe
-
Erecting and dismantling temporary fencing and signage
-
Following health and safety procedures at all times
-
Assisting in setting out and basic levelling tasks
-
Operating small plant tools (if trained) such as whacker plates, trench rammers, and disc cutters
Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Previous experience on civil engineering or groundwork sites
-
Ability to work as part of a team and take instruction
-
Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
-
Awareness of health and safety on construction sites
-
Good timekeeping and a positive attitude
Desirable:
-
CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
-
CPCS or NPORS for plant operation (if applicable)
-
Manual Handling, CAT & Genny, or Streetworks certifications
-
First Aid at Work certificate
-
Driving licence and own transport
