Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Pay Rate: $27.27/Hr

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Irvine, CA

Shift - 1st Shift (Monday to Friday)

Our Client is a Global medical device Manufacturer.

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician

The main function of a Laboratory Technician is to perform media preparation, accurately measuring and dispensing, in compliance with established work instructions and adherence to SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records. We do Microbiology testing, including environmental monitoring, water testing, bioburden, sterility, and more.

Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare lab glassware and supplies
Sample receiving using LIMS software, water collection, preparation of test materials for lab testing, laboratory inventory management, and purchasing
Assist in preparing test supplies
Operate and clean supporting equipment (e.g, autoclaves, dishwashers, etc)
Assist in maintaining laboratory paperwork
Verify and change temperature charts on lab equipment on a routine basis
Enter test results into MS Excel to create trend charts
Distribute cleaning logs to the appropriate manufacturing areas
Requirements:

Secondary Education or equivalent
0-2 years of experience required as a Lab coordinator with experience at a medical device or pharmaceutical company
Labware LIMS
Strict attention to detail, organization, and basic computer skills
Basic computer skills, attention to detail, and communication.
Ability to read, comprehend, and speak German, required; basic ability to read and comprehend English, required
Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Basic knowledge of laboratory processes
Basic knowledge in mathematics, e.g., decimals and percentages
Knowledge of and adherence to Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to the department's clean room medical device manufacturing
Strict attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
